We are looking for a strategic, analytical and transformational EU Operations Director to lead end-to-end operational performance across Europe.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing the full product flow across EMEA — from vendor pickup to final customer delivery — ensuring service excellence, cost control and continuous improvement across all logistics processes.

The main tasks of the position are:

The EU Operations Director will lead all European logistics operations (NL, UK, FR), managing inbound transportation, customs, 3PL performance, outbound distribution and reverse logistics.

Operational Leadership

• Oversee end-to-end logistics operations across Europe, ensuring timely and accurate execution

• Drive the commercial and operational relationship with EMEA 3PL partners, including contract negotiations and performance management

• Lead inbound flows, customs clearance, warehouse operations, outbound transportation and returns

• Coordinate closely with US Global Planning on demand signals, inventory strategy and S&OP inputs

• Monitor service levels and lead resolution of complex operational issues

• Ensure alignment with global sourcing strategies and operational standards.

Cost Management & Optimization
• Own operational cost control and transparency across all EU flows

• Identify and execute cost optimization initiatives in partnership with Global Logistics leadership

• Analyze operational performance data to uncover efficiencies and structural improvements

• Support carrier strategy and network optimization decisions.

Project Ownership & Transformation
• Act as project owner for major transformation initiatives (e.g., WMS implementation, operating model evolution)

• Lead cross-functional project governance with Supply Chain, IT, 3PL and Global stakeholders

• Conduct feasibility analyses for new warehouse models (e.g., bonded warehouse, network redesign)

• Reassess ongoing operational structures to ensure scalability and long-term efficiency.

Team Leadership
• Lead and develop a cross-country operations team (6 FTE) across NL, UK and FR

• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence

• Build strong collaboration between regional teams and global stakeholders

Position requirements:

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree (Industrial, Process or similar) or equivalent operational background

• At least 10 years of experience leading logistics transformation in fast-moving, seasonal industries (fashion, apparel, sportswear, footwear, outdoor)

• Proven experience managing multi-site 3PL operations across different countries

• Strong experience in cost control, budgeting and carrier strategy

• High analytical capability with advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills

• Experience with WMS implementation or optimization projects

• Fluent English required (Dutch or Spanish is a plus).
